Fouquieria Columnaris otherwise commonly known as Idria Columnaris is a pachycaul tree native to the volcanic slopes and canyons of Mexico.
These stunning trees can grow as tall as 20 m when mature and are well know for their uniquely shaped scraggly branches in comparison to their caudex.
These unique trees are also winter growers and do best when watered regularly in winter (allow to dry out halfway) and to cut back on watering in summer just enough to make sure that is caudex doesn't shrivel.
Your plant will be similar in shape and size to the one that is photographed.
We reccomend postponing transplanting until 2-3 weeks after the plants arrival. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
